This was the recipe for the punch that was served on September 12, 1953 when your Granddaddy and I were married. I also made it for Ann Marie's, Lori's and Lisa's wedding receptions.
Ingredients
4cups sugar
2cups water
2cups strong black tea
2cups lemon juice
2 1/2cups orange juice
2#2 cans pineapple juice
12oz maraschino cherries with juice
3gallons water
2quarts ginger ale
Instructions

Make syrup by boiling together for 10 minutes the sugar and 2 cups of water.

Add the tea and juices and chill for 2 - 3 hours. Strain if desired.

Add the cherries, water and ginger ale.

Pour over block of ice in punch bowl or over ice cubes. Serve.
